Using these tools is a bit like ‘researching’ your medical problem on the internet. Yeah, sure, WebMD.com will confirm your symptoms and give you generalised pointers and advise… but at the end of the day there is no substitute for working with an actual medical specialist to get to the root of the problem and provide personalised advice on how to address your condition.

And so it is with website audits – sure, there’s no harm in using free tools, just understand that they are a lot less effective than a custom designed, comprehensive audit and time spent with a website professional to discuss the findings.

What it boils down to two things:
